From its beginnings as a small family owned and operated feedlot in the early 1990’s, Southern Cross Feedlot now has integrated farming and feedlot operations. The business also holds EU accreditation, allowing the company to supply grain fed beef to the EU market. Since becoming accredited, Southern Cross Feedlot has built a state of the art feedmill and expansive cattle handling facilities to enable total flexibility in drafting, inducting and trucking cattle.

Thomas Cappo Seafoods brings together two iconic family owned South Australian businesses with a combined vision, energy and capability to take Australian seafood to the world. Originating in 1919, Cappo Seafoods pioneered the South Australian Seafood industry. Opened in 2021, Thomas Foods Canada is dedicated to providing the retail, food service and wholesale trade of Canada with high quality lamb, pork, mutton, beef, goat and veal.

TFI Canada enjoys direct sourcing opportunities from our processing plants with the highest quality and consistent supply of Australian red meat. Our long standing relationships with other suppliers in Australia and around the world ensure a full protein portfolio is available to our valuable clients, coupled with impeccable service.

Leveraging the further processing capabilities of the export-accredited TFI USA facility, our Canadian operations also have the capability to supply small, medium and large scale retailers across the country with high quality chilled and frozen case-ready meat solutions.

In 2017, TFI expanded its network of experienced sales staff into China, commencing sales and distribution operations in Shanghai, China.
